ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client operates within specialist recruitment, delivering permanent recruitment across European markets, primarily within the engineering and construction sectors.

The business recruits across different European jurisdictions and engineering disciplines, using LinkedIn Recruiter, European recruitment and resourcing platforms, an internal recruitment database, and its own website and job portal.

Training is provided on the engineering disciplines and sectors, giving the Recruitment Resourcer the technical knowledge required when engaging with candidates.

THE ROLE: RECRUITMENT RESOURCER

The Recruitment Resourcer is a candidate-focused position responsible for identifying, engaging, screening and progressing high-quality candidates through the permanent recruitment process.

You will engage directly with highly educated and experienced professionals across European markets, requiring strong communication skills, professionalism and the ability to build rapport quickly.

The role requires proactive candidate sourcing, database management, vacancy advertising, candidate screening, references and interview preparation while ensuring recruitment processes move quickly and accurately.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Source candidates for permanent engineering and construction vacancies across European jurisdictions.
  • Use LinkedIn Recruiter, European recruitment and resourcing platforms, the company website and internal databases to identify suitable candidates.
  • Proactively headhunt and engage candidates through different channels.
  • Conduct initial screening interviews and assess candidates' experience, communication and suitability.
  • Build strong relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Maintain and manage a live candidate database, ensuring information remains accurate and up to date.
  • Advertise vacancies across relevant job boards and the company website weekly.
  • Load and manage vacancies through the back end of the company website.
  • Take candidate references where required.
  • Progress suitable candidates through to interview stage and ensure they are fully prepared.
  • Work quickly and proactively to keep recruitment processes moving.
  • Maintain attention to detail across candidate records, job adverts and recruitment administration.
  • Learn and develop knowledge of the engineering disciplines and European markets being recruited within.
  • Manage multiple vacancies and priorities.
  • Source hard-to-reach candidates while maintaining candidate relationships.

During the first three months, the expectation is to build towards 3–5 suitable candidates reaching interview stage per month by the end of the initial three-month period. This includes consistent weekly advertising, strong sourcing activity and database utilisation, accurate candidate records, completed references, candidate preparation and consistent progression of suitable candidates through the recruitment process.

ABOUT YOU

  • 2–3 years' recruitment or resourcing experience, ideally within engineering, construction, technical or another specialist recruitment environment.
  • Experience recruiting for management-level or professional roles.
  • Experience working with and maintaining a live recruitment database or ATS.
  • Experience conducting candidate screening calls or interviews.
  • Strong candidate-facing communication skills, with the confidence and professionalism to hold meaningful conversations with highly educated and experienced European candidates.
  • Experience proactively sourcing candidates rather than relying solely on applications.
  • Comfortable using recruitment technology and online sourcing platforms.
  • Comfortable using LinkedIn Recruiter, recruitment platforms, databases and website back-end systems and learning new systems.
  • Able to work quickly and proactively without needing to be chased to complete tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail across candidate records, job adverts, references and recruitment administration.
  • Able to learn quickly and adapt across different European jurisdictions and engineering disciplines.
  • Curious, willing to learn and able to apply newly developed technical knowledge when speaking with candidates.
  • Commercially driven and motivated by successful placements.
  • International recruitment or experience recruiting across multiple European markets is highly advantageous.
  • Candidates must have the appropriate eligibility/right to work for the relevant European jurisdiction where required.

Compensation includes R18,000–R23,000 per month and 5% commission on every successful placement. The specification also states €1,000–€1,100 per month.
