Freelance Female Photographer – South Asian Weddings

About the role

KMAT Production is looking for a friendly, confident and passionate Female Photographer to join our growing team, specialising in South Asian weddings and events.

Due to the nature of many of our weddings, including segregated events and for the comfort of our brides, we are specifically looking for a female photographer.

No editing is required, all professional equipment are provided.

Responsibilities

  • Photograph South Asian weddings, Nikkahs, Mehndis and other events.
  • Capture ceremonies, receptions, candid moments, family interactions and cultural traditions.
  • Confidently direct couples during portrait sessions to create natural, timeless photographs.
  • Organise and direct family and group photographs efficiently.
  • Produce high-quality images using professional composition and lighting.
  • Work alongside the KMAT Production team where required.
  • Represent KMAT Production professionally and take care of all equipment provided.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who:
  • Is female (due to the nature of segregated weddings and for the comfort of our clients).
  • Has a genuine passion for photography.
  • Is confident directing couple portraits and family/group photographs.
  • Is friendly, calm, professional, reliable and punctual.
  • Can make clients feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera.
  • Can travel to venues across London and surrounding areas (access to a car is preferred but not essential if you’re able to travel independently).
  • Is available to work weekends.
  • Has a photography portfolio (professional or personal).
Previous wedding photography experience is preferred but not essential if you have a strong portfolio and the right attitude.

Photography skills are important, but personality is just as important. We’re looking for someone who is approachable, respectful and confident, with the ability to guide couples naturally while capturing genuine moments.
